About Michael Poda and Herbal Medicine
The oldest form of medicine used today, herbal medicine is extracted from plants.
Many of the drugs in use today are chemicals that have been extracted from plants or
modelled on plant extracts.
There is enormous literature on the traditional uses of herbal medicines. Many
scientific trials are proving the activity of herbs for these traditional uses.
When herbal medicines are prescribed by a trained herbalist at the correct dosage,
these medicines have a very good safety profile.
As a member of the National Herbalists Association of Australia, and having a Degree
in Health Science Naturopathy, Michael Poda is a trained medical herbalist.
He is trained in the principles and practice of western herbal medicine and medical
science.
Michael seeks to treat the underlying cause of disease, and aims to stimulate the
body's ability to heal itself.
Michael is an authoritative source of information about natural medicine. As a
pharmacist, he is also an authority on the use of drugs.
